Wesley is a multi-faceted professional, holding three accounting designations—Chartered Accountant (ICAN), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, Canada), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA, USA). Additionally, he is a Chartered Banker (CIB) and a Certified SAP Application Consultant. (SAP Academy Toronto)

Beyond boardrooms and financial landscapes, Wesley's dedication to community service is evidenced by awards, including the Black History Award from the Toronto Police, and 100 most influential black Canadian award. His passion for community impact aligns seamlessly with his role as a mentor and role model to young professionals globally.

Wesley's commitment to nurturing future leaders extends to the Royal Brothers, Royal Sisters (RBRS) mentorship network—an initiative he pioneered with his wife, Remi Wesley-Ogude. Their family, blessed with three young adults, resides in Toronto, Canada.

My Journey

1995-2001

Early Years in Banking

Wesley's career began in Nigeria, where he served in corporate and retail banking at Zenith Bank and later ventured into investment banking at First City Merchant Bank (now FCMB). His leadership in the Energy portfolio set the stage for a trajectory that would later lead him to Canada.

2001-2012

Navigating Corporate Canada

Upon immigrating to Canada in 2001, Wesley embarked on a dynamic career shift, delving into the IT world. His journey included roles at General Electric (a Fortune 500 company), CGI Consulting (4th largest IT outsourcing and consulting company in North America), and Purolator Inc, Canadas largest integrated logistics company , where he earned the distinction of being the first black Finance Director in 50 years. Notably, his strategic contributions saved Purolator CAD$85 Million.

Academic Excellence

Wesley's commitment to excellence extends beyond the corporate realm. He has been an award winner at every level of his education. He was the overall best graduating student in High School and overall best 'A-Levels' student nationally in Nigeria in 1986. Graduating in Finance from the University of Lagos and later earning an Executive MBA from the same school.
He proceeded to earning a second Executive MBA from the Queen’s School of Business in Canada with distinction.
His academic prowess underpins his strategic insights.

2013-Till Date

Entreprenueral Venture

Post-Purolator, Wesley assumed the role of Group Finance Director at Canacede Group of Company before venturing into real estate and joining Oxford Properties, one of Canada's multi-billion dollars real estate companies. In 2019, he founded Springwells group of companies, a Canadian private equity group with a substantial real estate portfolio in Canada, the US, and Nigeria.
